Richard Ellwood is Head of Audience Strategy, The Walt Disney Company EMEA. Richard is responsible for setting the mid-long term strategy for Disney based on how all different audiences think, feel and behave – delivering the optimum Disney product, content and services to the most relevant audience. This role sees Richard consult closely with the marketing, studio, retail, partnership & franchise teams to deliver an audience led strategy.
Previously, Richard headed up Consumer Insights for EMEA delivering qualitative and quantitative insights that are still widely used to develop marketing, scheduling, online and merchandising decision making across Europe.
Richard has nearly 15 years’ experience in the media, retail and telecoms industry at both an agency level and client side, including almost a decade dedicated to understanding and consulting on audience needs and business challenges across growth and saturated markets for two multi-national global brands.
Previously, Richard worked at Vodafone UK where he managed brand and marketing research plus successfully established a quantitative and qualitative employee research programme.
